ABOUT US
Set up in 1993 as a way of getting
some of my music collection out of the house, The Last Record
Store has stuck to its vision of providing a selective specialist
music store stocking anything that’s loose, honest, rootsy,
rockin’ and real – from the old, weird stuff to
the latest releases that fit the bill – from singer-songwriters,
folk music, country and Americana in all their myriad styles,
old-time stringband music, to
jazz, blues, soul, African and world music, to rootsy rock
and reggae.
We also like to showcase the best
in local independent releases
fitting this style, along with a range of Australian
Aboriginal music, both of which are a feature of this
site. Check our home page for news of upcoming live instores
and new releases of interest.
We are also able to offer a wide
diversity of choice by being committed dealers in second-hand
records, CDs and DVDs, and we turn up a lot of rare and interesting
stuff. Call or e-mail
for more information, bring in your old music for cash, or
trade it for something new – please bring appropriate
